knitting circle

09/28/2005

Three people showed for the knitting circle on Monday. One of the girls was knitting a great basketweave patterned scarf in yarn of greens and browns. Seeing the projects people are knitting is the best part of a knitting circle. My ribbed scarf was so very boring compared to her textured pattern!

Reading Traditional Scandinavian Knitting by Sheila McGregor.
I can’t get enough of knitting! (And being of Swedish heritage, this book is a must-have for my library.)

patt no. 4 from Vogue Knitting Fall 2005 – the cardigan done in Debbie Bliss cashmerino astrakhan color 31004.
The yarn is not as difficult to use as I thought it would be when I started – although if I make a mistake I don’t plan on ripping because the loops are hard to distinguish from the curls in the yarn.
