I am usually eager to give my knits away, but this one will be hard to let go. It’s off to my sister who I know will appreciate it, especially because of its color. Red is her favorite and I think this yarn is the perfect shade. Vibrant. Bold. Rich. The pattern has a simple elegance that I think suits her style. There are mistakes – a few lace patterns on the left side that don’t line up and look like they are taking flight. Knits and purls with minds of their own – or at least that’s what I tell myself when I make mistakes knitting lace.

Lovely!! Does the silk have any mohair in it, or is it pure silk? I want to knit a wedding stole for my sister and I’m thinking pure silk would be nice, but does a stole need a little of the mohair halo? Decisions, decisions!

Oh Brooke, this is GORGEOUS. You did an amazing job and your photos are so lovely. Now I want to knit this shawl out of this yarn!

Beautiful, and what a great color choice!
How was the yarn over all? I just got a big beautiful hank of it myself for something special. Did you have much left over?
Great work!

Oh Brooke, that is gorgeous!

This shawl is stunning! And the shade is exactly how you described it, now I think I need to rethink about my yarn choice. The pale blue I have in mind now sounds so washed-out.

It is just beautiful. The colour is fabulous. I really keep eyeing this pattern…I wonder if the main part of the shawl keeps your interest while knitting…it does look beautiful, but the edging is the kicker!

This is a little late, but that is what happens when following links. I was not inspired to knit this shawl until seeing yours completed. Excellent choices of yarn and colour.

Lovely shawl. I found you by googling the Sundara yarn b/c I am about to knit a shawl out of it — in the exact same colour you used. It’s wonderful to see it all knit up. Absolutely gorgeous! (I did Icarus, too, but I knit mine in Kidsilk Haze.)
